Town Quay
Nicolas James Group is very pleased to announce the final submission of plans for Town Quay in Southampton. The plans will see an exciting new waterfront destination created, delivering a major economic boost to the city. This will include multiple restaurants, food halls, a large new marina, apartments, a new landmark hotel, bar, conference and spa facilities. The hotel will be sit as part of NJG’s brand ‘The Nici’, a name recognisable to many on the South Coast due to the brand’s much awarded flaghip property, The Nici, Bournemouth. If approved by the council, the new development will open up the prominent waterfront site, which has remained largely inaccessible to the public for a number of years. The plans, first announced early in 2023, have run consultations with local residents and stakeholders throughout the summer. The scheme received 74 per cent support from the public, with the final plans further improved to create a more visionary design. Southsea Village
After working closely with residents and local authority over the past year, we are excited to share our approved plans for the development of the former St John’s College site, in the heart of Southsea, Portsmouth. The solution for the abandoned site will consist of 212 new apartments, with a 50/50 split between conversion of existing buildings, and new builds. With work beginning on site as soon as possible, the aim will be to complete the development in early 2026.
Dial House
The Nicolas James Group is proud to announce the acquisition of this landmark 35,000 sqft office building located in the centre of Putney, an affluent London residential and mixed use submarket. Currently undergoing extensive refurbishment with Nicolas James Building Ltd., Dial House will come to market in Autumn 2024. Planning has been submitted to local authorities for additional redevelopment and expansion in 2025.
St Cross Grange Care Home
Nicolas James Group is delighted to announce the expansion of it’s extensively awarded Manor Life Senior Care group through the acquisition of two new care homes, St. Cross Grange in Winchester and Park Manor in Poole. Both homes are undergoing extensive refurbishment through project partners Nicolas James Building Ltd., and will provide much needed occupancy and quality care to local elderly residents. St. Cross Grange will be completed and ready to welcome its first residents into one of the 64 luxuriously appointed bedrooms from Spring 2023, with 44 bedroom Poole Road opening later in Summer 2024.
