Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa awarded Large Hotel of the Year
The official tourism awards for the region, the hotel was shortlisted and visited by a mystery guest, scoring extremely well in all criteria. A glittering awards ceremony held at Plymouth’s Holiday Inn on the Hoe, Salcombe Harbour Hotel & Spa was delighted to be recognised for its contribution to Devon’s tourism, celebrating its recent refurbishment and unique location overlooking the estuary in Salcombe.
The sell-out awards, now featuring 24 award categories – an increase of 6 more categories from last year’s awards – celebrated the breadth of Devon’s tourism offer as a county, and showed the strength of the award’s finalists and winners, with the awards receiving 174 entries.

Now in its sixth year, the Awards act as a celebration of the best in Devon tourism and also as a county heat for the South West and national Visit England awards.
The hotel will automatically be considered for the South West Tourism Excellence Awards in February 2015 and then possibly go on to represent Devon at the National Enjoy England Awards later in the year.
